An activity that merges the Data Requirements Model and the Logical Data Design Model into a Data Requirement – Logical Design Model (DR-LDM) that shows how business data requirements get to be satisfied by the creation of relationships between the Form attributes and the Entity attributes. The reports generated form the DR-LDM will list the data requirements that have not been satisfied and the Entity attributes that do not participate fully, if at all, into the satisfaction of data requirements. Any item that prevents the full reconciliation of the DR-LDM must be brought to the attention of the stakeholders and formally be disposed of, either by special approval, amendment, correction, postponement or removal.
This is a modeling activity that is introduced by TDM and requires Data Requirements Modeling and Logical Data Design Modeling are completed according to their scope. This activity must be completed and its deliverables approved by the stakeholders and Data Governance before the Physical Data Design.
