An activity that includes producing a High Level Data Model that shows the business definitions of Forms and Entities within the Form and Entity boxes, and the verbs of Relationships. The definitions might be followed by a few examples in the boxes. The model doesn’t show attributes. Structurally, the Conceptual Data Model (CDM) is a drill-down of the DSM, in terms of including the use of supertypes and subtypes. Reference Entities are not included in the CDM, except for very complex cases. The text of parts the definitions may be color coded to indicate those parts are additions or have been modified.
